I live in the suburbs of Washington, DC with my dog Pettigrew, my husband, and my two sons. I teach environmental education and am a librarian. Capturing moments in time through my writing is something I love to do. The blog started as a place I could share the crazy antics of my dog. Since then, I have enjoyed discovering the different voice that Pettigrew shares in his “In My Own Voice” posts.

Pettigrew entered our lives on August 18, 2011, an adoption from the Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL). We had no idea what we had started.
